September 14th & 15th 2002, OSCA Event #1 make up weekend at Toronto Motorsports Park.
Saturday came and the weather was perfect! Blue sky's and some white fluffy clouds, we showed up around 10:30 a.m. and after finding a suitable spot to park in, we unloaded the car and started to play.

After going over our few runs the last time out, knowing that the car went 12.25 with virtually no changes, we were anxious to see what we could do today.

We were going to get one time trial run before qualifying. The first change made was tire pressure, all prior runs so far were made with at least 12lb of air in the slicks and we wanted to try to drop down to 9lb. We also changed the front jets, upping them a bit and backed the timing off a little.

We lined up for our time trial pass and proceded to do a half assed burnout! You could really tell, I need seat time!!. Went for the pass and clicked off a 12.22 @ 111.83 mph. So far, each pass has been better than the last, which is a great sign.

Our first qualiyfing pass would be coming up soon and we decided not to make any changes, other than try to do a better burnout. It worked, the car ran 12.14 @ 112.11 mph.

Qualifier #2 was about two hours away, so we had some time to kill. Preparing the car for the next run, we increased the size of the rear shooter and adjusted the traction bars. The car responded with it's first ever 11 second run, a strong 11.98 @ 113.32 mph! You have never heard anyone yell so loud as me after I got my time slip! The fact that I broke out of the index didn't bother me because my 12.14 would qualify me solidly in the field for race day. One more qualifer left.

We didn't change anything for the last qualifer and went for a great run but lifted just after shifting into third gear, a feable attempt to not break out and boy did it work , the car went 12.68 @ 84.84 mph.

Sunday morning saw some overcast conditions. We had enough time for two time trial passes prior to the start of eliminations, or so we thought. No changes made at all produced a 12.05 @ 110.46 and a 12.09 @ 110.53, exactly where we need to be to have a chance.

Then the drizzeling rains came and after waiting for at least 3 hours to see if it would clear up for eliminations, the OSCA cancelled the remainder and rescheduled eliminations for the following Sunday, the 22nd.
