Sponsorships are a fundamental necessity in order to ensure the sport we all love will grow and prosper for years to come. Sponsorships come in all forms, from series sponsors, race program sponsors and sponsors of the message board. In many cases a sponsor may be participating in all three. If we truly want the sport to grow, we need to take care of our sponsors at all levels.

As a result of recent events, we will be instituting a couple of new policies with the aim of eliminating conflicts, actual or perceived, related to sponsorship announcements.

We will be creating a forum thread that will specifically be there so that we can post news about any sponsorship related information we would like to share with our racing community.

The two new policies are as follows;

Sponsorship announcements will be limited to the new thread being created specifically for that purpose, any sponsorship announcements posted in any other thread will be removed immediately with no warning.

The second related policy is that the title of these posts must not contain the sponsor name or corporate name of the sponsor. They should be identified in the body of the post and / or the signature of the poster only. Again, any posts that do not conform to these policies will be removed immediately with no warning.

We believe this to be a fair approach that does two things;

It provides all board members with a channel to announce sponsorships to the racing community, providing their sponsors with some level of exposure to our community.

It protects the relationships we have with our existing message board sponsors and ensures the efforts put forth in building those relationships continue to provide benefits to all involved.

The many moderators that are assisting in the monitoring of this message board have been instructed to act appropriately based on these policies.
